ABBYY Lingvo Content is a professional dictionary writing system specifically developed to meet the needs of authors of dictionaries, reference books, glossaries, and other structured content.

The following options are available:

• Remote access to an ABBYY server from any computer anywhere in the world. All you need is Internet Explorer and login and password to access your own private workspace. Group work is supported, enabling multiple people to work on the same content simultaneously.
• With an intuitive and user-friendly interface, it won't take you long to come to grips with all the features and capabilities of ABBYY Lingvo Content, whose creators relied on feedback from linguists, lexicographers, and dictionary publishers .
• ABBYY Lingvo Content will help you organize and streamline your dictionary work: the system automatically puts dictionary entries in alphabetical order, provides templates for dictionary entries, logs changes, checks cross-references, and offers powerful search filters that can be used for editing content or for extracting content to create smaller-sized dictionaries. The group work features include the ability to lock entries for editing, distribute workload among the authors, and monitor the work progress.

The following distribution options are available for dictionaries in ABBYY Lingvo format:

• You can offer your dictionaries as free downloads on the website of the Lingvo Dictionary Association.
• You can sell your dictionaries on the website of the Lingvo Dictionary Association.
• If accepted by experts, your dictionary may be distributed as part of the retail version of ABBYY Lingvo.
• If accepted by experts, your dictionary may be published as a book by ABBYY Press.
• You can distribute your dictionaries yourself over the Internet or on CD-ROM (ABBYY offers CD replication services).
